Mr. D’s memorial (pictures)

A week after his shocking death, my ex-college held a memorial in honour of Mr. D. Here are some pictures that I would love to share, seeing that I have written about his life (and death) having had the pleasure to know him personally and be his student.

The memorial was not to ponder on his death, but rather, to celebrate his life.

Michel-ism :)
A few front rows; just about 30% of the crowd that came that day. Most chose to wear green as it was Mr. D’s favourite colour.
A shrine set up by ex-students studying in Melbourne.
A picture of Mr. D during the Terry Fox marathon.
The Mr. D that we know ;)
A table of his personal belongings on a green cloth; green being his favourite colour.
Gloves, helmet and placard.
Coffee mug, Assassins cloth pin, his favourite coffee, cap, favourite book, self-written book (his pride), Best Teacher Award trophy and marathon medals.
You are alive in our hearts!
Flowers.

Rest in peace Mr. D.

Hope you’re happy, wherever you are.
